RTT150 (Russian Turkish Telescope) Telescope
The RTT150 (Russian and Turkish Telescope) is the biggest optical telescope in Türkiye. It is established in 1995 according to a working protocol between Türkiye and Russia. Members of the collaboration are TUBITAK, Kazan Federal University and Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Installation of the RTT150 telescope was completed in 1998, then the first light was taken in September 2001.
The twins of the RTT150 is located at the Maidanak Observatory in Uzbekistan. RTT150 telescope has a Ritchey-Chretien optical design and there are Cassegrain and Coude focal plane modes.

Coude Iodine Cell
In order to achieve a very precise wavelenght calibration temperature controlled “I2 Cell” was attached to the Coude system in 2007 within the frame of scientific collaboration among TUG, Kazan Federal University and Okayama Astrophysical Observatory. Precise radial velocity measurements can be done with I2 cell which goes down to 10 m/sec.
Coude DEFPOS
There is another instrument at the Coude room called DEFPOS (Dual Etalon Fabry-Perot Optical Spectrometer). It is used to measure faint emission lines in interstellar medium. The field of view is 4x4 arcmin and it is centered at H-alpha (656,3 nm). There is 2K x 2K Andor iKon-L CCD camera at the focal plane of the instrument.
